Part time Barista
We are looking for a part time (10 to 15 hrs / week) BARISTA to join us in our café.
Requirements: you like people and have excellent communication skills; you are customer focused and want to ensure excellent drinking experience for our guests. You have experience and worked as a barista before; you know how to keep the place tidy and you pay attention to details.
You can work flexible shifts, but as a minimum you are available Monday – Friday between 12-2pm (that’s not to say these are the shifts).
Passion for Arran Street East pottery is an advantage!

We are excited to announce that we are opening up our studio to those interested in developing their pottery skills further. Our lovely light filled top floor studio will be open to anyone who has done a week-long or a 3-day course with us or elsewhere previously.

Arran Street East is excited to launch The Coffee Pour Over
Arran Street East is excited to launch The Coffee Pour Over - a new product joining our family of pots this December.
The Coffee Pour Over is the latest addition to our beloved Mugs, Pots and Jugs. Cone-shaped with flat-bottom this Coffee Pour Over has three holes in its base designed for enhanced brewing. With Arran Street East’s distinct square handle and our recognisable logo carved in the bottom it has extended base rim to sit on. Designed to work well with Arran Street East Small Water Jugs, Big Mugs and Beakers.
Arran Street East is delighted to launch The Coffee Pour Over in Brother Hubbard (North) on Tuesday, 27th November from 6pm. Arran Street East team of potters will be at hand to explain the making process and Farmhand Coffee roastery (located within Brother Hubbard) will do the brewing demo with single origin coffee made specially for the occasion.
Limited stock of The Coffee Pour Over will be available to buy on the night and we will be taking preorders for the product which will be available online at arranstreeteast.ie, and in store from 1 December 2018.
ASE Coffee Pour Over will be available in Portland Stone, Cabbage and Pomegranate.
Could you be our newest potter?
Located in the heart of Dublin City, we make beautiful, functional homewares by hand, on a wheel. Each piece is made to exacting designs and we're looking for a production potter who is able to repeat-throw accurately, has a passion for attention to detail, and would love to join our fun and growing team.
If you have:
- 2 to 3 years’ relevant production-throwing experience within the pottery industry
- A deep understanding of ceramic production processes
- The ability to work carefully, neatly, and to deadlines
- A desire to work on your own initiative and as part of a creative team
- And a can-do attitude

We are looking for a full time experienced Glazer to join our throwing and glazing team in our Dublin based studio.
Responsibilities include developing glaze recipes and surface design techniques, and being responsible for the full glazing cycle. A passion for and experience in innovation, coupled with exquisite attention to detail would be ideal.

This July we're excited to introduce Studio Stories: A talks series at Arran Street East - a series of events with makers, writers, and curators in our lovely studio in the Markets Area in Dublin.
Discover the history of ceramics in Dublin with Dr Audrey Whitty, Keeper, Art & Industrial Division at the National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History; get a glimpse into the peaceful world of the urban potter with Katie Treggiden, design writer and the author of Urban Potters: Makers in the City, and hear from young and emerging makers on their passions and inspirations.

New colours for 2018 showing at Maison et Objet, Paris and Showcase, Dublin
Jumping headfirst into 2018, we're excited to be showing new work at Maison et Objet as part of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland’s Design Ireland presentation, and once again taking a stand-alone space at Showcase in Dublin.
We will be showing CITYSCAPE | DUBLIN, a series of new studio-made glazes reflecting the city-centre stone, slate, and steel of Dublin, and introducing the first pieces in our new flatware and lighting collections.
