Who is this course for? This pottery workshop will suit beginners looking for an introduction to working with clay, or those who have worked with clay before and would like a simple refresher.
Is there an age limit for the Workshop? This course is generally for people aged 18 and above. A teenager may attend if they are accompanied by an adult. Please let us know in advance.
What's the morning like? You will be welcomed by your teacher and brought to a dedicated pottery classroom. Each participant will have access to their own pottery wheel/workstation and tools for the duration of the workshop. We supply all the materials you need (but you need to bring your own apron and hand towel). The workshop ends with a class and equipment tidy up - another important part of the potter's training!
What should I wear/bring? Please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting messy. Please bring your own apron and hand towel.
Please keep your hair tied up and your nails short.
Are there any Health and Safety issues? Please note you will be working on a pottery wheel in a bent position which might put some strain on your neck or back or wrists. Please first consult your doctor if you have had back, neck, wrist or any other injuries.
