Summer 4 Mornings: Stoneware Bird House and Plant Pot
About the Course
Stoneware clay has been used for centuries to make pottery pieces that are useful and which complement the outdoors and natural worlds. This course will teach you how to make pieces by hand, which will house little homes for birds and your small plants.
Over the course of 4 x 2-hour sessions you will learn to make these different functional pieces using a slabs and cutting and shaping tools.
We will ask you to select two of your favourite pieces that you make in the class, and we will fire and glaze them for you, and contact you when they are ready for collection - usually within a few weeks after the class. Or you can book onto one of our Glazing Workshops to learn the basics of glazing technique and to glaze your own pieces.
