6 evenings Throwing Course

A 6-evenings introduction to the craft of throwing on the potters’ wheel. Learn about this meditative process used for millennia to create everyday objects as well as once-off pieces of art. Discover the steps behind making beautiful pottery and follow the lifecycle of a humble lump of clay from design to a finished piece.

Starting on 3rd October, every Thursday evening, for 6 weeks, in a small class you will learn how to work with clay and realise your designs from 2D to 3D. We will cover the whole process from a single lump of clay through throwing, to drying and firing to a finished glazed piece. You will gain a basic understanding of the process behind throwing on the potters’ wheel.
